Our Mission

Fins and Leaves strives to contribute to safeguarding the world’s remaining biodiversity hotspots and support the people that depend on them for their survival.

We try to achieve this through inclusive development projects that focus on conservation, improving livelihoods, and education in areas rich in rainforests, mangroves or coral reefs:

Livelihoods

Creating sustainable livelihood initiatives for coastal and upland communities in key biodiversity hotspots.

Conservation

Protect and restore rainforest habitats, mangroves, and coral reefs.

Education

Making people more aware of the world’s remaining biodiversity hotspots and the importance of preserving these areas.

We believe that an integrated approach of these three focus areas is required to carry out our mission. In addition, in all our projects it is our priority to capacitate local talented and passionate individuals and organizations, and help them expand their impact.
