Kyra Hoevenaars is the co-founder of Fins and Leaves and is responsible for project development, administration, and evaluation. She studied biology at Wageningen University and has extensive work experience in Southeast Asia, Africa and the Caribbean carrying out projects on nature conservation, development, and education. She is specialized in conservation biology, ecology and aquaculture. Currently she is working as a freelance aquaculture consultant.
Jonah van Beijnen is the co-founder of Fins and Leaves. He studied nature conservation in the Netherlands and sustainable aquaculture in the United Kingdom. He has extensive experience from living and working in the Philippines for more than ten years while working on sustainable development through mariculture and conservation. Jonah is responsible for the overall management, leading and planning our project activities, directing fund-raising activities and obtaining support from the local community, private foundations, and other sources. Based in Spain, Jonah also provides worldwide consultancy services in the aquaculture and fisheries sector through his company VB Consultancy.
Jenny Bagain has a Bachelor in Education (English and Mathematics) at Full Bright College, Puerto Princesa, the Philippines. She is a licensed teacher and is currently finishing her Master in Education. Next to her job as a teacher, she supports the management of the Fins and Leaves as an advisor for the education projects. She also supervises students and trainees.
